Let’s Work Together
We are an open community group. Our group includes individuals with lived experience with mental illnesses or challenges and/or substance use. The group also consists of providers, consumers, family members, friends, medical professionals, first responders, advocates, and more! We are a group of community members and stakeholders.
We are focused on sharing resources, raising awareness, identifying trends, gaps, and needs while advocating to improve the behavioral health system for all ages and across prevention, treatment and recovery.
The CAC's ability to forge partnerships in the behavioral health system and throughout our communities is key in influencing systems and contributing to healthy communities.
This is an opportunity to use your voice! Each person comes with their own experience and expertise, and we want to hear from you. This is also an opportunity to learn from, amplify and empower the voices of our region.

Regional Legislative Work Group
In anticipation for each year's legislative session, The Hub hosts a regional Legislative Forum event to inform and educate state legislators on our priority topics. This work group discusses regional strengths, gaps, issues and YOUR experiences for legislative and advocacy efforts throughout the year. No previous experience or professional background is needed to get involved! We are here to support all and amplify voices.
We are also guided by the Connecticut Prevention Network and The Hub's Priority Report.
If you are interested in joining this work group, please contact Kaitlin Comet at kaitlin@ryasap.org
