How to save a life: 3 free trainings


Did you know that suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the US? (See current statistics from AFSP here.) Have you ever asked someone if they were considering suicide? Asking that question could be the step that makes the difference.

In recognition of suicide awareness month, please consider attending a free prevention training. Please also share these flyers and encourage your family, friends, colleagues, faith leaders, doctors and others to attend.

General public: Question-Persuade-Refer (QPR) training will be offered separately in English and Spanish on October 12 in Norwalk, 1-3pm.

These QPR trainings are provided by Positive Directions, Southwest Regional Mental Health Board, and Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition and hosted by the Triangle Community Center.
