This Thursday, Support the Community's Voice in Mental Health

Since our creation by the State of Connecticut in 1975, the Southwest Regional Mental Health Board has been a part of the community. Our role is to engage all stakeholders in the mental health system in identifying needs, stimulating new initiatives, and advocating for improvements.

Together with you, our partners, we work to ensure a high-quality, recovery-oriented behavioral health system that serves the people of southwestern CT. Your participation in our evaluation, education, awareness, and legislative work is what informs us and enables us to represent our region at the state level. (Read more at our redesigned website here.)

And now we need you more than ever! Our state funding is at risk of being significantly reduced or even eliminated. If you value our role, please consider supporting us this Thursday, March 9, on Fairfield County's Giving Day. If possible, please make your donation ($10 minimum) during the "Morning Power Hour"from 10am–11am, to help us possibly win an additional $1000 grant.

You can also donate to our amazing young adult team at TurningPointCT.org, the online peer support community by and for young people in CT, or any of the deserving local nonprofits that can use your support, including 21 mental health-related organizations. Gifts of any size can make a HUGE difference to a nonprofit.

So, set yourself a reminder for Giving Day and remember to "give where you live!"
